REDFIELD - Norris Lampkins, 90, of Redfield, died June 23, 2010. He was born January 1, 1920 in Crowder, Oklahoma to the late James Madison and Eunice Green Lampkins. He attended school in Crowder, Okla. and was a United States Army-Air Corp Veteran serving in World War II. Norris retired millwright for the Pine Bluff Arsenal and attended the River Road Church of God in Redfield. He is preceded in death by a son, J C Lampkins; brothers, Howard and Leonard Lampkins. Norris is survived by his wife, Clarcie Beard Lampkins, whom he married Dec 21, 1940; daughter Margie (Charlie) Whitt of Benton; brothers, Willis, Willard, and Paul Lampkins all of Redfield, Doyle, Raymond Lampkins both of Amarillo, Texas, James Lampkins of Dallas, Texas, and Hershel Lampkins of Batesville, Ark; sister, Evelyn Aaron of Redfield; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday in the River Road Church of God with Rev. John Threat officiating.
Burial was in Redfield Cemetery by Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall.
