Mrs. Laura Keeling, 104, of Rt. 5, box 126, Huntsville, Ark., died February 3, 1991, at Springdale Memorial Hospital. She was born August 2, 1887, in Huntsville, Ark., the daughter of Farley B. and Mary Catherine Fowler Stroud. She was a homemaker and the widow of Newt Troy Newman, who preceded her in death on January 22, 1919, and of Ambrose Weldon Keeling, who preceded her in death on September 20, 1963.
Survivors include one son, Keith A. Newman of Huntsville: one daughter, Ms. Pearl M. Newman of Huntsville; two grandson, Jim Newman of Huntsville and John Newman of Lebanon, Tenn.; two great grandson, James Weldon Newman of Huntsville and Jeremy Michael Newman of Lebanon, Tenn.; and two great granddaughters, Mrs. Kimberly Morrell of Springdale and Miss Natalie Newman of Lebanon, Tenn.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with C. J. Jackson, minister officiating.
Pallbearers were Mike Haley, Charles E. Jackson, Lynn Smith, Bill Keeling, Larry Karigan-Winter, and Paul Steele. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Downs, O. D. Easterling and Howard Bolinger.
