Died December 5, 1995, Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas.
Daughter of Maulden R. & Sarah Moser Martin.
Married William Guy Wiley, April 10, 1927, Independence County, Arkansas.
White River Currant, Calico Rock, Arkansas:
Velma Mary Wiley of Melbourne, daughter of the late Malden & Sarah Martin, was born September 18, 1905, in Izard County. She died December 5, 1995, in Batesville. She was 90.
Mrs. Wiley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Melbourne.
Survivors include one grandson, Mike Smith of Little Rock; and one great-grandson, Michael Smith, Jr. of Little Rock.
Mrs. Wiley was preceded by her parents, husband, one daughter, one sister and five brothers.
Services were held December 7, 1995 at the First Baptist Church in Melbourne with Brother Doyne Robertson officiating.
Pallbearers were Fred Blankenship, Dean Floyd, Homer Waggoner, Vance Tate, Delmo Tate and David Miller.
Interment was at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne.
