Mr. Curtis Morse, 86, of Lake Village died Saturday, October 2, 1999, at the Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. Born in DeKalb, MS, on May 13, 1913, to the late A. L. and Venie Morse, he was a retired farm manager and a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles A. Morse of Crossett; a grandson, Eddie Morse of Wamego, KS, a great-grandson, Nicholas Gulledge of Crossett; and five brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ruby Vick Morse of Lake Village; two sons, Robert H. Morse of Wamego, KS, and Curtis Neil Morse of Dermott; a daughter, Bonnie Green of Little Rock; two sisters, Helen Jarboe of Lake Village and Lorraine Apel of Osburn, Idaho; 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 1999, in the Steele Funeral Home chapel in Lake Village with Bros. Ted Williams and Jody Gannaway officiating. Burial followed services at the Lake Village City Cemetery.
