Villager Journal, Cherokee Village, Arkansas, December 4, 2004:

William John Sitzman, 84, of Horseshoe Bend died Nov. 23, 2004, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.

Born Aug. 21, 1920, in Buckman, Minn., he was the son of William and Rose Loscheider Seitzman. He married Thelma Viola Saker Sept. 17, 1958, in Iowa.

He worked at Champion International in the packaging division. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Horseshoe Bend.

Survivors include a stepson, Robert Olson and his wife, Jean, of St. Paul, Minn., their daughters; Debbie and Michelle, and grandchildren; five sisters; Nolla Maehren of Oliva, Minn., Laverne Trusheim of San Diego, Rosemary Graf and her husband, Richard, of St. Paul Park, Minn., Joyce Nottom of Backus, Minn., and Darlene Ellis and her husband, Willie, of Moline, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Leory V. Henval of Emily, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Henry; and a sister, Dorothy.

A graveside service was Nov. 27 at the Violet Hill Cemetery with the Rev. David Tews officiating.
