Harry died in Ozark, Dale County, Alabama.

Services for Mr. Harry Earl Rogers, 76, of Ozark, who died Sunday, April 4, 2004 at his home, are 10 a.m. today at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark with the Rev. Randall Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens under the direction of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home.

Mr. Rogers is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Mrs. Ora E. Rogers; two sons and daughters in law Dennis E. and Claudette of Troy, David W. and Debbie Rogers of Ozark, and four grandchildren Josh, Jared, Nathan and Daniel.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice of Ozark, 1970 East Andrews Avenue, Ozark, Al 36360.

Mrs. Ora Elizabeth Rogers passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Dale Medical Center. She was 90.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M., Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Aman officiating.

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 1, 2010 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M.

Mrs. Rogers was born November 6, 1919 to the late Clovis Dennis and Ora Edith Roddy in Pendleton, Oregon. At the age of two her and her family moved to Arkansas where her father was from. She lived in Melbourne, Arkansas until she graduated from high school. She then moved to Arizona where she met her husband, Harry Rogers, which he was in the Airforce. They then moved to Tennessee where Harry was from.

Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harry Rogers; two brothers, John Roddy and Sam Roddy.

She is survived by her sons, David Wayne Rogers (Debbie) of Ozark and Dennis Earl Rogers (Claudette) of Troy; four grandsons, Josh, Jared, Nathan and Daniel Rogers, also other numerous family members.



*UPDATED NOTE: memorials posted for Ora Elizabeth Rogers & Harry Earl Rogers with notations that their obituaries indicate that they were buried in Alabama. Paula Reddy has informed me that they have removed the double gravestone and moved it to Alabama.

*Original Note: There is a gravestone in the Violet Hill Cemetery for Harry E. & Ora E. Rogers with only birth years inscribed. It was obviously placed there at some time as a "pre-need" gravestone; however, from their obituaries, it becomes apparent that they were buried elsewhere. Her parents are buried in the Violet Hill Cemetery.
