James Madison Grimsley was born in Nashville, Tennessee on March 9, 1850, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. N. B. Hendren, February 19, 1933 at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 19 days. He came with his parents to Arkansas when a small boy and lived here most of his life. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. He was married to Miss Pocahontas Hickman August 22, 1878. To this union was born one child, Mrs. Etta Lee Hendren. He is survived by his widow, the daughter, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Mr. Grimsley once owned the drug store now known as the Ideal Drug store and was well known by the older citizens. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. M. J. Smalley of the Presbyterian church with music by the church choir. Burial was made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery

GRAVETTE WOMAN PASSES ON

Mrs. Pocahontas Grimsley, widow of James Grimsley, former Gravette druggist, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N.B. Hendren near that town, Feb. 1, 1934 at the age of 71 years.

Funeral services were held at the Hendren home, Friday afternoon. Burial was made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery there.
