Thelma Watt Duncan, 77, of Crossett died Saturday, September 25, 1999. Born January 26, 1922, in Crossett to Ed and Essie Loftin Watt, she was a homemaker and member of the Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with ceramics and raising flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Duncan; a daughter, Bonnie Sue Lofton; and four grandchildren, Debbie Duncan, Lawrence Lofton, Marvin Lee Lofton and Connie Sue Lofton. Survivors are three sons, Marvin Eugene Duncan of Crossett, Robert Earl Duncan of Phoenix, AZ, and Donald Ray Duncan of Alma; four daughters, Margaret Ann Bardin and Bettye Jo Hill of Crossett and Gloria Faye Taylor and Janie Ruth Choate of El Dorado; a sister, Alma Lee of Crossett; 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, September 27, in the Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with Bros. Gayle Riles and Dan Webb officiating. Pallbearers were Carl Bardin, Bubba Bardin, Gary Bunn, Mitchell Hill, Emory Duncan and Mike Mosley. Burial followed services at the Parkdale Cemetery, directed by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
