Lewis Ethan Huffman, Jr., of Oxford, son of the late Lewis Ethan Huffman, Sr. and Goldie Barnett Huffman was born May 9, 1928 in Marlem, Missouri. He died Wednesday, July 28, 1993 at his residence in Oxford, at the age of 65 years.
Mr. Huffman was united in marriage to Alice L. Trader, June 9, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas and to this union five children were born. He worked as a custodian for the Kansas City, Kansas schools. He was of the Pentecostal Faith.
He is survived by his wife, Alice of the home, two daughters, Diane King of Fort Worth, Texas and Sharon Barnes of Wideman, three sons, Ronnie of Omaha, Garry of Kansas City, Kansas and Larry of Oxford, two sisters, Eleanor Huffman and Audrey Huffman both of Kansas City, Kansas, eight brothers, James of Kansas City, Missouri; Floyd of Linwood, Kansas; George of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Troy of Muncie, Kansas; Levi of Kansas City, Kansas; Lloyd of Richmond, Missouri; Claude of Spring Hill, Kansas, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were Saturday, July 31, 1993 at the graveside with Brother Leon Wilson officiating. Burial was at Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill, under the direction of Howard Funeral Home.
