Zelma E. Billingsley of Marshall, Missouri, daughter of the late George William and Dolly Mathis Barnes was born May 3, 1915 in Violet Hill. She died July 29, 1997 at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, Missouri. She was 82.
Mrs. Billingsley was united in marriage to G. Ray Billingsley October 26, 1930 in Violet Hill. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lenexa Christian Center in Lenexa, Kansas.
Survivors include four daughters; Norma Mitchell of Overland Park, Kansas; Pauline Thomas and husband, John of Marshall, Missouri; Betty Thompson and husband, Marion of Fremont, California; and Barbara Bramlett and husband, Jerry of Overland Park, Kansas; one son and his wife, Gregory and Pamela Billingsley of Marshall, Missouri; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lenexa Christian Center in Lenexa, Kansas, with Reverend Chris Winn officiating and Saturday, August 2, 1997 at 2:00 at Fairview Baptist Church in Violet Hill.
Interment will be Saturday, August 2, 1997 at Violet Hill Cemetery under the direction of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Memorials may be made to the Lenexa Christian Center or Assembly of God in Marshall.
