BROOKS, Mrs. W.S. - Mrs. W.S. Brooks, who has been seriously ill for the past several months, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Daugherty, near Mt. Pleasant Friday. Mrs. Brooks had been suffering from the effect of blood poisoning in one of her feet and it spread so rapidly that amputation was necessary, being taken to Rogers where the operation was performed. Another amputation became necessary before the spreading was checked but her vitality was so low that she could not recover. She was past fifty years of age. Burial was made in the Bethel cemetery Saturday. She leaves many relatives and friends who mourn her departure.
