Funeral services for Joe T. Hannegan of Hampton who died in a traffic accident Tuesday morning were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Antioch Baptist Church near Hampton. He was a farmer and pipefitter, and was a member of Pipefitters Local 706. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marie Thomasson Hannegan, one son, Jerry Dale Hannegan of Hampton; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Waldrip and Mrs. Beatrice Ivy, both of Hampton, one brother, Frank Hannegan of California, and three granddaughters. Rev. Odis Reddin of Hampton conducted the services and Rev. Jerry Wilson of El Dorado will assist. Pallbearers were relatives of the deceased, and honorary pallbearers were members of local 706. Burial in Antioch Cemetery will follow in funeral services, which will be under the direction of Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. (The El Dorado Times - October 14, 1965)
