Sallie Sue Corter, 70, died Saturday, May 27, 2006.
She was born Jan. 9, 1936. She was a 28-year retiree of ConAgra Foods of Batesville. She enjoyed collecting angels, fishing, quilting and puzzles.
Survivors include her mother, Daisy Canard; a sister, Gertrude Broyles; three sons, Walter Dean Corter of St James, Johnny Leon Corter of Mountain View and Hershel Lynn Corter of Calico Rock; eight grandchildren, Amanda Mitchell, Joshua Corter, Johnathan Corter, Heath Corter, Deanna Corter, Ashley Corter, Justin Corter and Kesha Corter; three great-grandchildren, Lance Corter, Halle Mitchell and Emily Mitchell; and two nephews, Bob Broyles and Bill Broyles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Dean Leon Corter; her father, Walter L. Canard; and four brothers, Thurlow Canard, Cecil Tom Canard, Fred Canard and Wimps E. Canard.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Levisy Flat Christian Fellowship Church with David Campbell and Alan Cartwright officiating.
Pallbearers were Justin Corter, Johnathen Corter, Heath Corter, Joshua Corter, Bill Broyles and Bob Broyles.
Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Canard, Ricky Corter, Mike Canard and Tony Corter.
