Rebecca Silvis, 94, of Prairie Grove died Jan. 15, 1999, in a Fayetteville nursing home. She was born May 7, 1904, in Pettigrew to John C. and Susie Morris Williams. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Fayetteville and had lived in Northwest Arkansas most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Silvis, in 1957.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Bernice A. Allen and Fred A. of Prairie Grove; one granddaughter, Rebecca Ann (Mrs. Martin) Holbrock of Fayetteville; one sister, Hilda Evans of California.

PRAIRIE GROVE
Rebecca Silvis, 94, of Prairie Grove died Jan. 15, 1999, in a Fayetteville nursing home. She was born May 7, 1904, in Pettigrew, Ark., a daughter of John C. and Susie Morris Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Fayetteville. She had lived in Northwest Arkansas most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Silvis in 1957.
Survivors include her daughter, Bernice A. Allen and her husband of Prairie Grove; a granddaughter; one sister, Hilda Evans of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 in the chapel of Nelson's Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Witt officiating. Burial will be in Stuckey Cemetery in Johnson. Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
The family has requested memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
