Mrs. Lucy Cathern Garcia
December 8, 1933 - February 7, 2010 Royal, AR

Lucy Cathern Garcia, 76, Royal, died Sunday, February 7, 2010. Born December 8, 1933 to John and Martha Reed Mann, she was predeceased by two brothers, Sam Mann and William “Bud” Mann. She had a lengthy career and love of thoroughbred horses.

Survivors include her husband, Jake Garcia of Royal; three sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Dolores Chapman of Royal, Steve and Regina Faulkner of Pearcy, and Andrew and Christina Garcia of Hot Springs; two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and James Gordon of Bismarck, Julie and Joey Williams of Hot Springs; eight grandchildren, Christopher Gordon, Deborah Gordon, Michael Gordon, Jonathan Oliveira, Nick Oliveira, Hailey Garcia and Alexander Garcia, all of Hot Springs and Brett Faulkner of Pearcy.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Carl Chapman, Steve Faulkner, Andrew Garcia, James Gordon, Christopher Gordon, Michael Gordon and Joey Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Adriane Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Holthus, Jessie Clements, Dewayne Pennington, Jerry Pennington, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Sanchez and National Park Medical Center ICU Staff.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gross Funeral Home.
