Wesley Glenn Harbour
(August 17, 1943 - April 12, 2009)

Wesley Glenn Harbour, 65, of Hot Springs died in a local hospital on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. Born in Searcy, Arkansas on August 17, 1943, he was the oldest child of the late Davis Wesley Harbour and Bernice Lois (McGee) Harbour. After graduating from Bald Knob High School, he met and married Jane Marie Pearcy of Hot Springs, on November 9, 1963. Initially working in Kansas City, Missouri, the couple returned to Arkansas to raise their two daughters.

Wesley was involved in the start-up operations for Harvey Engineering & Manufacturing Company, where he worked for several years. In the late ‘70s, he and a family member started H & M Contractors. He continued his interest as a business owner by establishing a successful convenience store in West Hot Springs. His true joy in life was spending time with his family and watching and encouraging his three grandchildren in all of their activities and pursuits. A self-taught computer guru, he was quick to share his computer skills and knowledge with others. If something was broke, he could fix it. He was a rare “Jack-of-all-trades” and master of most. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Hot Springs.

Wesley was preceded in death by his father and survived by his wife, Jane Marie Harbour, and mother, Bernice Harbour, two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Kelly Robbins, Shelly and Larry Hill, all of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Jay Robbins, Shara Robbins and Tori Hill, also of Hot Springs; brothers, Calvin and Linda Harbour of Searcy, Boyce and Joyce Harbour of Southlake TX; sisters, Linda and Jim Favre of Little Rock, Katherine and Mike Winninghan of Los Angeles, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Greg Whorton and his nurse, Linda Chadick, Arkansas Hospice nurses, and members of his regular “breakfast club”.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 14, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service led by Dr. John McCallum will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Wednesday, April 15, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First Baptist Church Sanctuary Building Fund, 2350 Central Avenue, Hot Springs, AR 71901, or the Arkansas Hospice Foundation, 5600 West 12th, Little Rock, AR 72204.

Arrangements are by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Guest register is www.caruth-hale.com.
