Carol Jean King's parents divorced when she and her two King siblings were very young, and Iva Mae Alexander King married Rudolph Carl Parnell on October 30, 1947. Even though Rudolph Carl Parnell never adopted the three King children, he reared them as if they were his children, and they went by the Parnell surname until they were adults.

Ms. Carol Jean Winchester, 64 of Norfork passed away Tuesday March 16, 2010 at her residence. She was born June 12, 1945 in Norfork to Earl and Iva Alexander King. She was raised by her mother and Rudoph "Bill' Parnell. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Norfork.

She is survived by 2 sons: Neal (Myra) Sailor of Atlanta, Georgia and Craig Sailor of Kansas City, MO; a daughter, Carrie (Glen) Hiltner of Kearney, MO; 3 grandchildren: Amanda & Colt Sailor of Kansas City, MO and Vincent Sailor of Atlanta, Georgia. 2 Sisters: Marijo (Gene) McFall of Norfork and Janice Gragg of Norfork. 2 brothers: Lawrence Parnell of Norfork and Keith (Debbie) Parnell of Calico Rock. A special cousin, Oleta Martin of Calico Rock. Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a twin brother, Carl Dean King.

Visitation will be from 12 until 9 pm Thurs. March 18 at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6 until 8 PM. Graveside services, conducted by Reverend David Wiley will be 2 PM Friday, March 19 at Galatia Cemetery in Norfork.

(Note: At the time of her death, she went by the Winchester surname, and that surname was used in the obituary. When a monument was placed at the grave site, the Sailor surname from her first marriage was used.)
