*Obituary
Professor Emeritus Robert Lynn Savage, 71, of Fayetteville, passed away January 26, 2011, at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born February 26, 1939, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to the late Carroll and Helen Donahue Savage.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and received his M.S. degree from the University of Houston and his PhD. from the University of Missouri. From 1973 to 2001, he was a political science professor at the University of Arkansas. He enjoyed following politics, cooking and the creative arts.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George Wayne Savage.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Savage, two daughters, Lynne Thomas and her husband Coy of Atlanta, GA, and Georgia Faye Moore and her husband Richard of Midland, TX. He is also survived by grandchildren Hannah and Bethany Thomas and Jamie Vasquez and five great grandchildren.
