William Curtis Barton, 79, of Greenbrier, died October 4, 2003 at the V.A. McClellan Hospital in Little Rock. He was born on September 28, 1924 to the late Oliver Otto and Annie Elizabeth Castleberry Barton. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and was a Baptist. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha Spears Barton; two sons, Curtis Lee Barton and Jerry Barton, both of Greenbrier; two daughters, Diane Rooney and Vicki Edwards, both of Greenbrier; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, O.W. Barton of Greenbrier. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lee Royce Barton.

Martha Lou (Spears) Barton, 84, of Greenbrier, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014. She was born on Monday, July 15, 1929, to the late Thomas L. and Ollie (Fielder) Spears.

She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Curtis Lee Barton and wife Sylvia of Greenbrier; two daughters, Diane Rooney and husband Willard of Guy, Vickie King and husband Darrell of Floyd; daughter-in-law, Sharon Barton of Greenbrier; sister, Barbara Hooten of Guy; twelve grandchildren, twenty four great- grandchildren, and three great- great-grandchildren.

Martha is also preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, William Curtis Barton; a son, Jerry Barton; two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services are set for 1:00p.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Pastor Odis Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
