Married Martha Jane "Jennie" Troxler, February 25, 1906, Izard County, Arkansas.

Melbourne Times, Melbourne, Arkansas, January 9, 1947:

Johnson W. Rodgers, aged 62, of Franklin died at a Batesville hospital Friday. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Boyce Roberts of Franklin and Mrs. Wayne Gaston of Myron, three sisters, Mrs. E. Gaston of Franklin, Mrs. Hughes Gaston of Violet Hill and Mrs. Due Nicks of Little Rock; a brother, G. B. G. Rodgers of Chickasha, Okla., and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Franklin Community building Saturday afternoon by Rev. Stanley Cooper and burial was at the Violet Hill Cemetery.

Franklin Citizen Dies

John W. Rodgers, 62, of Franklin died in a hospital at Batesville Friday. The funeral was held at Franklin, Saturday, services being conducted by Rev. Stanley Cooper of Melbourne. Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Boyce Roberts of Franklin and Mrs. Wayne Gaston of Byron; three sisters, Mrs. Hughes Gaston, Violet Hill, Mrs. Due Nicks, Little Rock, and Mrs. Dee Gaston, Franklin; a brother B. C. Roberts of Chickasaw.
