ROGERS — Our loving mother, Reathel Virginia Hicks, 85, of Rogers, went to be with her Lord Aug. 4, 2015, in Bentonville, Ark. She was born March 25, 1930, in Wesley, Ark., to Oren and Mary Fritts Thomas.

Reathel was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church. She retired after 26 years as office administrator for the Washington County Extension Service. She served her community in many ways. Among these were her role as secretary of the Whitehouse Volunteer Fire Dept. and as Chairman of Polling in her home precinct.

Reathel had a love for sports. She was her grandsons biggest fan. She loved to watch the Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinals. She will always be remembered for her spirit of generosity. Her favorite quote was "You can't out give God." It will be a great day in glory when we meet her again.

Reathel is predeceased by her husband, Ben Hicks; her parents; her brother, George Thomas and an infant brother. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rebecca Wey and her husband Ron of Rogers and Anita Jo Roberts and her husband Larry of Springdale; and three grandsons, Philip Graham, Blake Roberts and Mitchell Roberts.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at Westfield Chapel. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home, 1925 Green Acres Rd., Fayetteville, Ark. 72703 or Gideon's International. Please share your fond thoughts and memories of Reathel on her memorial at www.WestfieldChapel.com.
