Woodmen of the World Memorial
According to the 1900 census, he was married to Amia, a native of Mississippi. They had 2 daughters and 2 sons. The oldest daughter was born in Mississippi and the other 3 were born in Alabama. The youngest was William who was a little over a year old so in 1900 they were fairly new to Havana. Wade's occupation was as a railroad telegrapher (presumably for the Rock Island Railroad that ran through town) and he rented a home. He was 38 when he died five years later after living in Yell County for about six years.
