Dwight Blevins,71,of Locust Grove died Saturday,Jan.6, 2001,at a local hospital.
Born Feb. 27, 1929, in Locust Grove, he was the son of William Ezra and Irene Jones Blevins. He was a retired rancher and of the Protestant faith. He was employed by International Shoe Co., the forestry service and was a cattle rancher and raised chickens for 39 years.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Kerlin Blevins; two sisters, Julia Duchanoy of Locust Grove and Ruth Massey, both of Batesville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Calvin Blevins and Adrian Blevins; and a sister, Fern Blevins Harrah.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roller-Crouch Chapel in Batesville with the Rev. Don Herrington officiating. Burial will be at Locust Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Bryan Anderson, David Seymore, Dickey Drake, Jimmy Baker, Jerry Wilson and David Collins.
