Bobby Lee Melton was born on October 12, 1935, in Odessa, Texas, to the late Robert L. and Annie (Martin) Melton. He died on Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at his home in Clarksville, at the age of 72. He was a retired pipe fitter.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Shirley (Holt) Melton; daughters and son-in-laws, Jackie Coulter and her husband, Larry, of Lamar, Arkansas, Debbie Shay and her husband, Wesley, of Knoxville, Arkansas, Pam Blasczyk and her husband, Steve, of Russellville, Arkansas, Bonita Long and her husband, Mark, of Lamar, Arkansas, and Laquita Hogue and her husband, Raymond, of Lamar, Arkansas; four sons, Bobby Neal Melton of Austin, Texas, Earnest Duff of Clarksville, Arkansas, Brady Duff of Clarksville, Arkansas, Gary Duff and his wife, Michelle, of Subiaco, Arkansas, and Dan Duff of Lamar, Arkansas; one brother, Earl Dennis of Orlando, Florida; twenty four grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Nancy Lorene Melton; his parents, Robert L. and Annie (Martin) Melton; three brothers, Jake Dennis, Carl Dennis, and Acey Dennis.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2008, at the Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel in Clarksville, with Reverend Don Erwin and Reverend Eddie Birdsong officiating. Burial will be in the Knoxville Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
Active Casket Bearers will be Ernest Duff, Gary Duff, Brady Duff, Dan Duff, Greg Holman, and Blake Otwell.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Carl Melton, Ted Melton, Verlon Harris, and Dean Hughes.
