Mary Paralee Wheeler, 85, of Paragould, died Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.

Mrs. Wheeler was born May 7, 1925, in Greene County, and was a retired LPN. In 1973 she was the president of the Arkansas LPN Association and through the years held each office in the LPN Association. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church and a member of the Nimble Thimbles Quilting Group.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Dan R. and Carol Wheeler of Charleston, South Carolina, Jerry W. and Betty Wheeler of Paragould,, A. David and Lana Wheeler of Foley, Alabama; and one daughter and son-in-law, Dianna L. and Allen Faughn of Garland, Texas. She is also survived by one brother, John H. Baine of Texas City, Texas; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A. D. Wheeler; her parents, John Henry and Mary Paralee Baine; four brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, June 20th, at East Side Baptist Church, with Dennis Scudder officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.

Grandsons, Joshua Wheeler, Britt Long, Justin Faughn, Matthew Faughn, Derek Faughn, and Kevin Long will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials to Blind Tapes, Park Hill Baptist Church, North Little Rock, would be appreciated.
