Monday, July 29, 1974
Oscar H. Keener, 90, Cave Springs, died July 27 at Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born May 21, 1884, at Potter, Ark., he was the son of Louis Henry and Lee Anna Murphy Keener.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cave Springs and was a retired railway inspector.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nell Middleton of the home, Mrs. Ferris Lee Stephenson and Mrs. Vol (Dixie) Lester, Springdale; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were held today at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Cave Springs with Rev. J.N. Farish and Rev. Joe Layman officiating. Pallbearers were Jay Scoggins, Carl Sapp, Roy Hyden, Leroy White, Don Shores and Eddie Shores. Burial was in Phillips Cemetery with arrangements by Sisco Chapel of Springdale.
