Funeral services for Stephen Hunter Pollard, 46, of Kirbyville will be private. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. Mr. Pollard died Nov. 16, 2007 at St. John's Regional Medical Center at Joplin, Missouri. Stephen was born, in Excelsior Springs. He had lived in the Branson area the past 28 years and was a former Harrison, Ark. resident. He received his B.A. from the School of the Ozarks. He taught English, speech and drama at the high school level. He also worked as a stock broker and vidiographer. He created and produced programming for local television station KROO 6 in Harrison, which he also owned and operated for 10 years. Stephen married Cynthia Reding in Harrison on Sept. 26, 1981. He is survived by his wife; a son, Craig Pollard and his wife Jacque of Kirbyville; twin daughters, Christine Pollard of Kirbyville and Rebecca Pollard of San Diego, Calif.; his mother, Sally Robertson of Lone Jack. his brother, Michael Pollard and wife Tina of Laredo, Texas; his sister, Lori Sweeney and husband Mike of Ozark; one grandson, Hunter Pollard along with several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sheldon and Eloise Hunter, of Lawson. Memorial contributions may be made to Boone County Special Services, 707 E. Rush, Harrison, Ark. 72601.
