Calico Rock Progress, Calico Rock, Arkansas, September 12, 1919 (Note the obituary shows that she died September 28, 1918):

Edith Magnolia Carter, daughter of T. H. and M. E. Beaver, was born March 2, 1892, was converted and joined the Baptist Church of Fairview, Izard County, Ark., and was baptized September 20, 1907 and a faithful member until death called her home. She was married to C. H. Carter, the fourth Sunday in November 1908. Unto this union was born three children, two boys and one girl. Their home was a pleasant one. She was always merry and happy, and their home door was always open to the preacher; but the Lord called her home to be with him for he deserves the best. She departed this life September 28, 1918 at 11 A. M. She left a husband, three children, father, mother and eight sisters and host of relatives and friends to mourn her death. May I say, "weep not as those who have no hope, for we know that for to live was Christ, but to died was her gain". She was buried at Fairview Cemetery to await the resurrection. Rev. L. H. Davis conducted the funeral services. Weep not husband, but live at the feet of Jesus for some day we can meet her where these partings come no more. Father, and sisters, take courage and look up, for we soon shall meet where these partings come no more.
