passed away in loving, calm surroundings in Oregon on Monday, May 09, 2011. Essie was born June 15, 1919 in her family home in Van Buren County, Arkansas to Ira & Cora Stroud. She married William Harold Brown, December 26, 1939. Essie was a resident of Humboldt County for over 25 years. While living in Field Brook she worked at Kess's and Daly's Department Store for many years. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, seven of her eight sisters, one brother and her beloved husband, Harold. She is survived by her sister Orba-Lee Santini, her sons, Carrol Wayne & Linda Brown of Eagle Point, Roger Dale & Nancy Brown of Willow Creek, along with seven grandsons and many great grandchildren. She was much loved and will be missed. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Liberty Springs Church of Christ in Arkansas. Burial will be at Liberty Springs Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Please sign the guest book at www.Times-Standard.com, click obits.
