Kenneth J P Thornton, 76, of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, in North Little Rock. Born December 20, 1932, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, he was a member of Piney Baptist Church and was retired from McClard’s Barbeque.
He was predeceased by his father, Cecil Thornton.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Monty and Rhonda Thornton of Brinkley; Vince and Beth Thornton of Jacksonville and Damond Thornton of Hot Springs; five grandchildren, Madison Thornton, Alex Thornton, Josh Thornton, Bridgette Thornton and Cullin Thornton; two great-grandchildren; his mother, Pearl Thornton of Mount Ida; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Jarene Thornton of Hot Springs and Roger and Brenda Thornton of Royal; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Katherine and Arthur Hughes of Royal and Louise and Doyle Moore of Bryant; several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Lowe Cemetery with Reverend James McDaniel officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Kuntz, Joe McClard, Phillip McClard, J D McClard and Joel Moody.
Gross Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
