Oral C. Dillard, 86, of Franklin died March 29, 2003, in Mountain Home.
Born on Dec. 23, 1916, in Violet Hill, he was the son of Tollie and Martha Cooksey Dillard. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Phillips, and to this union two children were born. During World War II, he served in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. During his working years he was a farmer. He lived in Franklin his entire life.
Survivors include a son, Mike Dillard of Franklin; a daughter and son-in-law; Brenda and Bill Barnes of Franklin; a sister, Velma Mullins of Ash Flat; and two grandchildren; Cathy Barnes of Franklin, and Jeff Barnes of Rolla, Mo.
A private graveside service was held April 1 at Violet Hill Cemetery with Gary Wallace officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
