Married Oral C. Dillard, April 27, 1946, Izard County, Arkansas.

White River Currant, Calico Rock, Arkansas, May 26, 1977:

Mrs. Mary Phillips Dillard, age 49, of Franklin died Saturday afternoon, May 21, 1977 in a Salem hospital. Born at Day, she was an employee of the Tri County Shirt Factory and a member of the Franklin Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Oral C. Dillard of Franklin; one son, Mike Dillard of Melbourne; one daughter, Mrs. Brenda Barnes of Franklin; her mother, Mrs. Edythe Phillips of Myron; two brothers, Tom Phillips of Myron and Harry Phillips of Tacoma, Washington; five sisters, Mrs. Willene Gaston of East Wenatchee, Washington, Mrs. Jocelyn Dark of Ozark Acres, Mrs. Mona Heston of Little Rock, Mrs. Betty jean Godwin of Eudal, Kansas and Mrs. Elwanda Sweeney of Wasilla, Alaska; one granddaughter, Mrs. Kathy Barnes of Franklin and several nephews and nieces.

The funeral service was at the Franklin Baptist Church with Keith Finley officiating. Burial was at Violet Hill Cemetery by Crouch Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were: Kirby Billingsley, Billy Blevins, Dean Floyd, Ray Plumlee, Bob Barnes and Kohn Batterton.
