Brownie Cotter Atkinson Wheat
March 15, 1942 - January 14, 2010

Brownie Cotter Atkinson Wheat, age 67 of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. She was born March 15, 1942 in Ott, Arkansas to Harley and Mary (Morrison) Cotter.

Mrs. Wheat married Bruce “Sonny” Atkinson March 22, 1958 in Alpaugh, California. She was of the Christian Faith. She was a secretary and bookkeeper for the Lumberjack store in Bakersfield, California and was an owner/operator of the Prestige Hair Salon in Hanford, California.
Mrs. Wheat is survived by a son: Jesse Atkinson of Alpaugh, California, a daughter: Cynthia Hudson and husband Dale of Mountain Home, five sisters: Margaret Douty of Bakersfield, California, Virginia and Betty Drewry both of Corcoran, California, Opal Sanders of Salem, Arkansas and Linda Bunch of Murphysboro, Tennessee, a brother: Virgil Cotter of Alpaugh, California, five grandchildren: Kendra, Brooke, Emily, Curtis and Chyanne, seven great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Colton, Savannah, Austin, Dylan, Dallas and Sonny and several other beloved family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: a son: Anthony Atkinson and two brothers: Joe and J.D. Cotter.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Harold Cotter officiating. A visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Flutie Cemetery near Gamaliel, Arkansas.

Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
