Ara Belle was born the daughter of Catherine "Kate" Hunter and Gabriel Burgess, Jr. on Jul 25, 1879. She was the wife of Newton Jasper Geaslin, Jr., whom she married Oct 04, 1896 in Jackson County, Ark. They had 11 children, but only 5 of them lived to adulthood, Katie Jane, Kenneth Cornelius, Raymond Helois, Jena Mae, and Ora Lee. Ara Belle "Belle" Geaslin died while visiting her daughter in Chicago, Illinois on Sep 25, 1965, and was brought back to Arkansas to be buried beside her beloved husband.
