Justin Ray Mauldin, a resident of Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, lost his battle with cancer, Friday, April 9, 2011, at the age of thirty-two. He was born, May 9, 1978, in Newport, Arkansas, the son of James Ray and Mary “Lynne” (Burnette) Mauldin. He married Miss Jessica Horst March 5, 2005. He was a graduate of Cross County High School, worked as a farm hand, Volunteer Fire Fighter, First Responder, and Auxiliary Police. He was a member of the Hickory Ridge Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, camping, being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Mauldin was preceded in death by his father and two grandfathers: Hershel Burnette and Lloyd Mauldin. Justin is survived by his wife of six years: Jessica Mauldin of the home, Mother: Lynne Mauldin of Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, one daughter: Shelby Nesler of the home, two sisters: Lisa Hess of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Melissa McCord of Paris, Tennessee, two grandmothers: Jewel Burnette of Wynne, Arkansas, Jean Mauldin of Hickory Ridge, Arkansas.

Funeral Services will be conducted, Monday, April 11, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne, Arkansas. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery at McCrory with Firefighters Honors.
