Gene Watson, age 88, of Mountain Home died Friday, December 21, 2007. He was born March 6, 1918, in Gassville to Edward and Minnie Watson. A retired carpenter and cattle farmer, Mr. Watson was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church.
Gene is survived by: 5 children: Eldon Watson of Mountain Home, Nadine Pinson and husband Charlie of Alabama, Carol Oakley of Colorado, Charlene Ackerman of Midway and Eddie Ray Watson of Mountain Home. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby, his parents, 1 grandchild, 1 brother and 5 sisters.
Visitation will be from Noon-9 PM Wednesday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday in the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gene Carson officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrims’ Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
