Monty Barnes

Monty "Toots" Barnes, age 78, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 at her residence. She was born June 5, 1932 in Culp, Arkansas to Nathan and Geneva (Leinen) Fletcher. She worked as a cashier at the Flippin Wal-Mart for 23 years and was a member of the Mennonite Church in Culp.

She is survived by a son: Roger (Laurie) Thornley of Le Mars, Iowa; a daughter: Lorna (Don) Kottke of Farmington, Minnesota; 6 grandchildren: Traci, Nick, Cody, Courtney, Nicole, and Donnie; a sister: Pernia (Eldon) Lester of Calico Rock, Arkansas; 2 sister-in-laws: Joan Anderson and Marj Barnes; an uncle Boyce Henderson of Norfork, Arkansas; 5 nephews; a niece; 3 great-nieces; 6 great-nephews, and special friends: Pat and Jack Followell, Joan Loucks, Vivian McDermet. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Athel Fletcher, and an infant brother.

A visitation will be noon till 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Roller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday with Luell McCutchen officiating. Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Table Rock Cemetery in Culp, Arkansas.
