Louis L. Dyess of Benton died Saturday. He was 60. He was retired from the U.S. Army and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are his wife, Irene Dyess; one son, Terry L. Dyess of Benton; one daughter, Debbie McCauley of Little Rock; his stepmother, Ruby Dyess of Laurel, Miss.; one brother, Thomas Dyess of Laurel, Miss., and one granddaughter, Sarah McCauley of Little Rock.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Ballard Funeral Home with Lynn Cook officiating. Burial will be at New Rosemont Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Puckett, Melvin Styers. Harry Crossland, Jeff Crook, Charles Nix, Winston Smith, Kelly Geurin and Horace Whatley.

June Irene Dyess, age 75, of Benton, passed away November 12, 2010 at her home. She was born August 21, 1935. She was retired from the Benton State Hospital where she was a CNA for eighteen years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis L. Dyess.
Survivors include one son, Terry L. Dyess; one daughter, Debbie L. McCauley both of Benton; one granddaughter, Sarah N. McCauley; one sister, Carol Thurmond of Benton; one brother, George Pelton of Benton, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) with Evangelist Jerry Dickinson officiating. Interment will follow at New Rosemont Memorial Park in Benton.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 15, 2010 at the funeral home.
