ROGERS--Arthur Lee Bowland, 51, of Rogers died July 8, 1995, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born June 21, 1944, in Independence, Kan., to Wiley Lee and Wanetta Rosetta Cornet Bowland. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served 26 years as a military policeman and retired as a sergeant first class. He was a Vietnam veteran. He moved to Rogers from Fort Riley, Kan., in 1983. He was a driver for the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Fayetteville and a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Bowland of the home; his father of Rogers; one son, Jeffery Bowland of Rogers; four daughters, Kimberley Stoltz of Florence Ala., Stephenie Kelley of Bullhead City, Ariz., Mayme and Susan Bowland, both of Rogers; one brother, Gary Bowland of Wylie, Texas; and one grandchild.

Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Rogers Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Priest and the Rev. George McBride officiating. Military honors will be VFW Post 9063 Home guard of Bella Vista. Arrangements are by Burns funeral Home of Rogers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
