Born around 1911.
Died January 3, 1928, Monkey Run, Baxter County, Arkansas.
According to a story published by Mary Ann Messick, Velma Farlin, Jerry Farlin, and Frank Floyd were alone in a cabin at Monkey Run the night of January 2, 1928, and the cabin caught fire and totally burned with the three children inside. Their ashes were placed in a common grave at the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery. The Arkansas Death Records show the date of death as January 3, 1928.
Excerpts from three issues of The Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home, Arkansas:
January 6, 1928, Issue--Died: A boy with the last name of Floyd, age 17, a girl with the last name of Farlin, age 15 and a boy with last name of Farlin, age 7. They burned to death.
January 13, 1928, Issue--Father held for Investigation: T. C. Farlin, age 45. It is believed he may have prevented his children from being rescued from fire. (This is a long story).
January 20, 1928, Issue--Freed of Murder Charge: T. C. Farlin at preliminary hearing.
