FAYETTEVILLE — Sada P. Stewart, 92, of Fayetteville died April 14, 2007, at her home.
She was born May 7, 1914, in Memphis, Texas, to James Richard and Pearl Lane Morriss.
At age 18 she began work as a legal secretary in the law firm of Clifton Wade and Maupin Cummings in Fayetteville.
She later worked for the State Welfare Department and the Employment Security Division. She and her husband also operated a grocery store in Fayetteville and an in-plant cafeteria for Plus Poultry in Siloam Springs. They then moved to Tulsa, Okla. where she worked 15 years for the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission before retiring to Greenland in 1971.
She moved to Fayetteville in 1976. She was a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church, where she was active in Sunday School and church organizations, a member of Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Washington County Democratic Women's Club, AARP and 55-Plus Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Stewart; one sister, Louise Reed; and one brother, James Lane Morriss.
Survivors include one nephew, James L. Morriss Jr. of Fayetteville; one niece, Pat Parker of Fayetteville; two sisters-in-law: "Jo" Condra of Springdale, Anna Mae Stewart of Tulsa; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and caregiver Roseanne Leverich of Fayetteville.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Moore's Chapel with the Rev. Steve Sheely officiating. There will be no scheduled visitation. Memorials may be made to Rolling Hills Baptist Church at 1400 E. Rolling Hills Dr., Fayetteville 72703 or Washington Regional Hospice, 34 W. Colt Square, Suite 1, Fayetteville 72703.

Johnny Stewart, 72, 1144 Turner Ave., Fayetteville, died July 6 at his home. Born June 4, 1906, at Mayfield, Ky., he was the son of George Terry and Onie Bell Wyatt Stewart, a member of the Baptist Church and a retired electrician.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sada Morriss Stewart of the home; three brothers, Robert Dean Stewart and Jack H. Stewart of Fayetteville and O.T. Stewart of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Gene Sweetser and Mrs. Ruby Feibleman of Fayetteville and Mrs. Lucille Thomas of Long Beach, Calif.; several nephews and nieces.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Moore's Chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Randall Garrison officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Floyd Thomas, Dennis Kelley, Jimmy George, Bill Parker, Roy Faubus and Jim Alexander.
