He married abt 1842 in MS, (1) Sarah Ford b. abt 1824 in NC, d. 14 Feb 1864 in Crawford Co., AR; they had the following children: Mary J., William Marion, Nancy A., Joseph H., John W., Robert L., George and Unnamed Lytal.
He married on 1 Jan 1865 in Van Buren, Crawford Co., AR, (2) Hariett Amanda James b. 20 Jan 1841 in TN (buried at this cem.); they had the following children: Rufus Columbus, Charles H., Jeanette Elizabeth, Henry, James True, Delia, Thomas Edward, Katie B., and Ora May Lytle.
He had resided in Lincoln Co., NC; Hardeman Co., TN, Tippah Co., MS, and Crawford Co., AR.
