Funeral services for Mr. Airsteed “Spanky” Bell will be held today at 4 p.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel, 1600 Sayers St., Lufkin, Texas.
Father Paul Rainville M.S. will be the officiant. Interment is to follow Saturday in the Robinson Cemetery at 1 p.m. in Conway.
Mr. Bell was born on May 20, 1937, in Conway. He was a graduate of Pine Street High School, class of 1956, and was the president of his senior class.
Airsteed resided in Miami prior to a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Lee; and his daughter, Kathy Lynn.
He is survived by his sisters, Wanda Brandon of Lufkin, Texas, Chiquita Ballanger of Tatum, Texas, and Marsha Jones of Weatherford, Texas; brothers, Ronnie Allen of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Vanness Allen of Houston, Texas; grandsons, Stephen Shack of Little Rock, Garron Andre Shack of Lufkin and Adrian Lee Bell of Lufkin; a great-grandson and a great-granddaughter.
