Daughter of Franklin D. Hale & Nancy Bacon Hale.

Mrs. Mary H. Boyd, who was buried yesterday at Friendship following her death Sun., was mother of Mrs. Mary Ivey of Fayetteville. She is survived also by her husband, the Rev. J.T> Boyd & 3 other daughters, Mrs. Wilson Cardwell, Mrs. Ed Ivey & Mrs. Alfin Foust, all of Springdale, & all of whom with Mrs. Ivey were at her bedside. She leaves also, 19 grandchhildren, 21 great grandchildren & 2 sisters, Mrs. Laura Henderson of Kansas & Mrs. Edward Hays of Calif.
Services were held yesterday at Friendship by Rev. O.L. Lierly at 2:30 p.m.
The deceased was born April 11, 1818 at Huntsville in Madison Co. She was converted when 20 & soon after joined the Baptist church to which she belonged the remainder of her life. She was married to J.T. Boyd of Goshen Dec. 20, 1866 by Rev. Mosie Dutten officiating. To the couple there were born 1 son & 5 daughters, 1 son & 1 daughter preceding her in death.

Funeral services for Rev. John Thomas Boyd, aged nearly 85 years, who died Tues. at the old homestead near Springdale, were held yesterday afternoon, conducted by Rev. O.L. Lierly of Fayetteville. Interment was in Friendsip cemetery.
Mr. Boyd was born June 24, 1845 near Goshen & grew to young manhood in that community. He was married Dec 20, 1866 to Miss Mary Hale of near Huntsville. 4 daughters survive, 1 son & 1 daug. died in infancy. His wife passed away Jan 19 this year.
The daug. are: Mrs. Aquilla Cardwell, Mrs. Dora Foust, Mrs. Zener Ivey, all of Springdale, & Mrs. Mary Ivey of Fayetteville. He is survived also by 1 sister, Mrs. Smith of Muskogee, 19 grandchildren & 20 g grandchildren.
Converted in 1875, and later uniting with the Baptist church, he was ordained March 31, 1878 at the Friendship Baptist Church, and continued his ministry until age forced him to retire from active service.
