Hightower Services Held Wednesday
T. J. "Jewell" Hightower, Melbourne merchant, who had been in ill health for some time passed away at his home early Monday morning. Mr. Hightower was 60 years old.
His funeral services were held Wednesday at the Melbourne Church of Christ. Jack Wood Sears of Searcy delivered the memorial sermon. Burial was in the Violet Hill Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers were Roby Southard, Noel Walker, Denver Hulett, Boyce Cook, Fred Todd, Harry Dixon, Jr., Owen Tomlinson and Joe Campbell.
Mr. Hightower is survived by his wife, Zelma, one brother, Floyd of Violet Hill and four sisters.
