CALICO ROCK — Jasper Eugene Teague, 82, of Calico Rock died Saturday, March 5, 2011, in Calico Rock.
Born May 25, 1928, in Culp, he was the son of Jasper Newton Teague and Annie Octavia Pinkston Teague.
He was united in marriage to Willie Jean Franks in January 1952 in Mountain View. He was employed by the U.S. Forestry Service and at Calico Rock Medical Center in the maintenance department. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Calico Rock.
Survivors include a son, Gary Teague of Calico Rock; two grandchildren, Tonya Miller of Melbourne and Aaron Teague of Calico Rock; four great-grandchildren, Ty Miller and Garron Miller, both of Melbourne, and Kami Teague and Aubrey Teague, both of Calico Rock; and three nephews, Kenny Hamby, Denny Hamby and Greg Hamby, all of Calico Rock.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Junior Teague; two sisters, Imolea Steinmiller and Juanita Fritz; and a nephew, Jeffery Hamby.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Calico Rock with Kevin Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
Pallbearers will be Reese Tubbs, Jim King, Donnie Orf, Jerry Rush, Paul Killian and David Smithson.
Honorary pallbearers are C.T. Luke, Arvey C. Branscum, Dale Stone and Steve Cooper.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight.
