SOLOMON, Emille Ann PHILIPS - Mrs. Millie Solomon, wife of Jas. Solomon, living two miles south of town, died yesterday (Thursday) morning at 4 o'clock. In the winter she fell and sustained a broken leg from which she never recovered, although she was getting along fairly well until a few days ago she was taken with pneumonia. The remains will be interred today in the cemetery at Shady Grove. Mrs. Solomon leaves a husband and a number of children and grandchildren. They have been residents of this locality for thirty years or more, having come here from Tennessee soon after the war. Deceased was a sister of Uncle John Philips.

Emille Ann Philips was born in Hawkins County, Tenn. Aug. 26, 1828. Here she resided with her parents till Nov. 20, 1851 when she was united in marriage with James Solomon. In June 1854 they moved to Collin County, Texas where they made their home till 1867 when they moved to Springdale, Ark. and located on a farm one and one-half miles southeast of town. To the union of this couple were born nine children, six of whom survive their mother: Elbert M. Solomon lives at Dill, Oklahoma, Martha Angeline Johns at Walker, I.T., Chas. Wesley Solomon, Ryan, I.T., Harriet A. Davis, near Fayetteville, Ark. and Amanda L. Solomon at her father's home southeast of town. Mrs. Solomon united with Robinson Creek Baptist Church while she was quite young. She afterwards removed her membership to the McKinney Baptist church in Texas. Mrs. Solomon passed from this life March 30th, 1905 about 4:30 a.m. aged 75 years, 7 months and 4 days.

SOLOMON, Jim A. - J.A. Solomon was found dead in his buggy yesterday morning about 9:30 o'clock. Mr. Solomon had been out to his farm south of town as was his custom and it is supposed that he died after getting in his buggy and starting for home. Some boys who were working the field east of the Tom Caudle place noticed that when the mule passed them Mr. Solomon had slipped down in the seat of the buggy, apparently asleep. Fearing that the animal might possibly run away and injure Mr. Solomon they went out to the road and stopped him and found that Mr. Solomon was dead. The body was still warm, showing that death had resulted only a short time before. He was apparently in his usual health and death was doubtless the result of heart disease. The body was brought on to town and taken to his home near the high school building where it will be prepared for burial. At the time of going to press no announcements have been made as to the funeral arrangements. Uncle Jim Solomon was one of the very best citizens of this country. For many years he resided on a farm a short distance south of town but after the death of his wife some time ago he and his daughter, Miss Amanda, moved into town to make their home, there being just the two of them in the family. Besides his daughter, Miss Amanda, deceased is survived by two other daughters and three sons, all of whom are married and living in different sections of the country. Mr. Solomon stood high in the estimation of all who knew him, being honest and upright in all his dealings, and there is universal regret at his untimely death.

SOLOMON, J.A. - Springdale, July 6.- J.A. Solomon of Springdale, a prominent Washington county farmer, died suddenly in his buggy while returning to his home in Springdale from a visit to his farm. Several farm hands at work on the Caudle place noticed when the buggy was passing that Solomon had slipped off the seat and was apparently asleep. Fearing that the horse might run away and injure Solomon they went to the road and stopped the animal. They found that Solomon was dead. His death was due to heart trouble.
