KELLEY, Gilbreath – Gilbreath Kelley died Sunday afternoon at three o'clock at the home o Eld. J.R. Loving, a short distance South of town, of pneumonia. He came to the home of Eld. Loving Wednesday of last on a visit and was taken sick that night. The remains were interred in the cemetery at Shady Grove Monday afternoon, services being conducted by Elds. J.R. Loving an Jas. Dodson. The deceased was 68 years of age and was a member of the Baptist church. He had been a resident of this section for over forty years until a year or so ago when he purchased a farm on the Boston Mountain about forty miles Southeast of here. His family was unable to get here to attend his funeral. Mr. Kelley was an honorable and upright citizen who possessed the confidence of all with whom he came in contact. He leaves a wife and seven children, six sons and one daughter, and to them The News tenders sympathy.
