SPRINGDALE — Judy Kay Gates, 57, of Springdale died July 26, 2004, at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County in Springdale. She was born Dec 21, 1946, in Hominy, Okla., to Francis Ivy and Ethel Louise Byrom Collins. She was co-owner of Gates Roofing Co. in Springdale. She was preceded in death by one son, Matthew Gates and one daughter, Michelle Gates.
Survivors include her husband, James Gates of the home, to whom she was married Dec. 20, 1977; three sons, John Hoffarth, Fred Garren and Mark Garren, all of Springdale; three brothers, Jim Collins, Arthur Collins and Douglas Collins, all of Springdale; four sisters, JoAnn Gardner of Elm Springs, Sue White of Mayfield, Phyllis Johnson of Springdale and Pamela Carney of Wheeler, two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Solomon Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be present from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
