Ninety-four year old Ralph Eubank went to be present with the Lord on March 14th, 2011. He was born in a log cabin, as was his father, on the family farm at Buford, Arkansas on October 4th, 1916. He was born to George Newt Eubank and Dicie E. (Jones) Eubank. He has a brother Joseph Gordon Eubank (Barbara) and one sister, Mary Eubank who died in infancy. All are now deceased.

Ralph's father was a carpenter and worked in several different cities ending up in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he established the Eubank Lumber & Supply Co. and the Eubank Construction Company. Ralph and his brother, Joe worked with their dad in the family business. He married Melva Pearl (Childers) on August 2nd, 1939. They had two children while in Santa Fe, Bill Ralph Eubank and Dicie Melba Eubank McGuire. Another son, Joseph Martin Eubank was born after the return to Buford. During WWII, Ralph helped build Los Alamos then worked for a while at Douglas Aircraft Co. in Santa Monica, California. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served with the First Cavalry Division in the Philippines and was among the first troops to go into Japan after the A bombs were dropped.

After the war, Ralph returned to Santa Fe and worked in the family business until 1949 when his Dad retired and both families returned to the family farm at Buford in Baxter County. He and his wife Melva Pearl Eubank operated The Buford Trading Post. In the late 1950's Ralph was sworn in as a Deputy County Surveyor in Baxter County. Several years later he accepted a position with the Corps of Engineers and retired as a power house operator. He had a passion for flying and motorcycles. He had his pilot's license before his driver's license and rode motorcycles up into his 80's.
